I Don't Understand

how ridiculously ineffective procrastination is. You'd think that at 19, I, as the Editor in Chief, would not be quite as delayed as I was this month. However, this month's theme...for everyone it seems is procrastination. Or perhaps, being delayed. So as I said last month, your EAL staff and I have moved into a new apartment so that we don't have to live in the dorms anymore. Our normal schedule was supposed to be June 1, just as we have always posted on the first of each month. Except, this time we were moving in on the first. So naturally, the posting of the June issue of EAL was postponed. What we didn't expect was that not only were we (the staff that was moving) delayed, so was the rest of EAL...go figure. That's why we work together, right?

Anyways, delays eventually turned into mere procrastination. Art Editor Christy, Copy Editor Lena, and I continuously pushed back the date of publication and made up excuses. "Oh, it's chill, we'll post on the 4th..." Then it's already the 8th. Oops. Christy even suggested posting on the 9th since it's my birthday. So the June issue of EAL would have been a present to all of you awesome readers and fans from yours truly. However, it is now officially June 11 so looks like that present idea also backfired. Anyhow, I guess the moral of our experience is that you should never procrastinate. Procrastination is bad for you and you'll never get anything done if you continue to procrastinate.

The theme for the June issue is procrastination and being delayed. Since it's the beginning of summer, everyone begins to relax and let go. At which point, maybe 10 days into summer, you already feel yourself getting sluggish and not wanting to do anything at all. That's when you start to procrastinate, whether it be doing your summer class homework, actually doing your work, or holding off on that much needed workout. All the same, challenge yourself to conquer this obstacle. Don't procrastinate.

The June issue features some pretty awesome articles. There's lots of entertainment going on so we give you the latest news on that. Our GBF is also trying a new format, so definitely check that out. Give us some feedback on what you think too...at eal.magazine@gmail.com. Don't forget to subscribe to our mailing list (link on the left there).

Anyhow, have a fantastic June! Get out in the sun and do something active...after you read some of our awesome articles and protect yourself from the sun that is! Cheers! :)
